The Hybrid tents have all the goodness and features of an Outback tent, with the addition of zippable PVC windows to keep you cozy in cooler weather, and to let you keep your view to the outdoors when it's raining out.
When the the first Lotus Belle Tents were designed, breathability was the main concern. Screens on all the windows and doors allow for ease of airflow while keeping the bugs out. Since the Belles have migrated to Canada, the Hybrid tent has been created with our sometimes cooler temperatures in mind. Though we do not recommend keeping your tent up throughout a snowy winter (the tents are not designed to carry the weight of snow), the Hybrid and Stargazer models are a great option if you plan on enjoying your tent in the cooler months of spring and fall. Also, this model pairs well with our woodstoves and tent liners.
The Hybrid tent has a canvas outer door, with a mosquito net layer door behind. It has roll down canvas blinds, zip open PVC windows to keep out heavy rain, and behind them, a mesh layer to keep out mozzies and allow maximum air flow in the hot summer.
To maximise breathability the Hybrid has the same large roof vents and rear wall vent as the outback, and a zip in groundsheet to keep out all the bugs.
